Service was rather slow poolside and you literally had to flag them down. I did find the female pool servers outfits a little risqué for a family resort off the strip. There was not a lot of shade or umbrellas. Maybe that's because it was 114 degrees outside that weekend.

I enjoyed the pool area as it was easy to get lounges. We enjoyed drinks and tv sports in the bar in the hotel lobby on the lower floor below the casino, although our teenagers were not allowed to sit with us on the couches to have a soda. We ate the 5 of us one evening in their upscale italian restaurant and the food & service were good despite a 3 hour wait to get a table, even with my mother in law's 'high roller' card! The hot dogs at Pink's in the sportsbook were great! There is plenty to do for kids of all ages with a large movie theatre complex and bowling alley attached to the hotel. We visited The Yard House for a family dinner for 16 of us and the food and service was excellent. There are many choices of restaurants on property. I am not much of a gambler, but my husband and I both enjoyed gambling here. The casino had lots of variety and appeared to give much better odds than the Rampart casino at the JW. Check in and out was a breeze compared to Las Vegas strip hotels. The bathroom was very large with a separate shower, tub and private toilet. Our 2 rooms were very clean and modern and had a view of the pool area and the mountains. I must say, for a local hotel a station resort, I was very pleasantly surprised. Las Vegas is one of my least favorite cities, but my mother in law lives 5 minutes from this resort and encouraged us to stay here this trip instead of the JW Marriott 7 minutes away or The Bellagio where we usually stay.
